How Is a Pet's Exact Age Calculated?
Exact calendar age is calculated from the birth date and the date of calculation.
It uses completed calendar years, then completed months, followed by the remaining days.
This is more detailed than simply subtracting the birth year from the current year.

Because calendar months have different lengths, exact age cannot always be calculated by dividing total days by 30 or 365.
